Inspired by an article titled, ‘The Eye: Its Diseased and Their Cure’ by James W. Powell (1849) this book made with engraved mirror pages depicts eye exams used for different optical conditions, while symbolically capturing the reflective nature of the phoropter glass. As you flip through, the text becomes more and more illegible as the severity of the disease described becomes worse.
